LORETA is a console table with a thick teak top and an elegant black iron base.

Loft Collection

The wood used for the Loft collection is not from the trunk but from the base and root structure of teak trees.

The grain of the wood is therefore rounder and more irregular, which sometimes gives a special effect and more color variations.

The iron legs of the Loft items are powder coated, which offers a stronger protection against rust and scratches than normal paint.

The wood used for the Loft collection is teak. Teak has been a preferred hardwood for furniture, construction and shipbuilding for centuries, in part because it is very durable and suitable for outdoor use.

Teak is native to India, Thailand, Laos and Myanmar, but due to intensive deforestation it only still grows in natural forests in Myanmar. It was introduced to Indonesia in the 16th century and large plantations were established during the Dutch colonial period.
