BRIGHT MODECO +
Hanging lamp
Bright Modeco + is basically a vertically expanded version of the Bright Modeco.
This version is shaped from the proportions of a Hall Way, which is typically taller than it is wide.
This makes Modeco + very suitable for corridors, as its shape emphasizes the overall lines of the architecture.
Modeco + works very well in higher rooms in general, due to its shape that emphasizes the vertical axis of the room.
The history
The name Modeco is made up of the words modernism and Art Deco, the two most influential epochs of the 20th
Bright Modeco marks the transition from the most recent modernist period to a new period in which a certain degree of ornamentation can be recognized again. In other words: Modeco is Nordic Tales' first step into a new period in which form plays a bigger role.
Bright Modeco is born on the assumption that steel, glass and concrete in the complete absence of ornamentation are not necessarily the answer to a happy life. Bright Modeco is an attempt to do something different, embrace female values.
During the late 20th century, modernist ideology was misinterpreted, confusing ideas like "less is more" with "cheaper is better". This economically optimized worldview neglected the basic human need for appreciation in the form of ornaments.
We believe that by combining the values of both modernism and art deco we have been able to create something functional in the 21st century without compromising the real human need for decoration.
